§ 2.36.06. Destruction of property.

  • A.

    It shall be unlawful for anyone to engage in any activity that shall result in the destruction of, injuring of, theft of, or malfunctioning of any lines, towers, buildings, tools, hoses, ladders, or similar equipment used in the detection of, reporting or suppression of fires.

    B.

    The driving of a vehicle over a fire hose is specifically prohibited by this section and the fact that a fire was not in progress at the time of the alleged offense, shall be no defense to the prosecution hereof.

    C.

    Anyone found guilty of a violation of this section shall be fined a sum not less than fifty dollars ($50.00), nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
