§ 10.20.03. Appointment of members.

Committee members shall be nominated and appointed to the committee by the mayor. To assist the mayor in the appointment process, city aldermen may provide names and resumes of potential candidate(s) to the mayor for consideration and subsequent selection and recommendation for nomination as water and wastewater committee members. Nominations for appointment shall be made by the mayor. Upon nomination, the mayor shall forward to the city council a copy of the names and resumes of candidate(s) selected for appointment.

However, under no circumstances shall the council have less than seven days to review the suitability of the candidate(s). Appointments to the committee shall become final by two-thirds vote of the city council.
