§ 10.12.10. Installation and costs.

Customers of the city's water system requiring backflow prevention devices shall purchase the approved device and pay all costs associated with installation of the appropriate size and type of device under private contract. New installation shall be completed prior to the "final" plumbing inspection so that the device can be included as part of the inspection. Devices shall be installed above ground in a location that is readily accessible for maintenance and testing and should be located not less than twelve (12) inches above ground and no more that thirty (30) inches above ground.
